DESCRIPTION:Smoke & Guns State Championship Cookoff: A Fundraiser Benefiting the Van Zandt First Responders Fund\nCalling all BBQ enthusiasts! Do you consider yourself the BEST Pitmaster in town? Have SMOKIN’ BBQ skills that can’t be beaten? Or maybe you are just looking for a fun and friendly competition for a GREAT cause! We have the perfect event for you…Register for Silver Spur Resort’s Smoke & Guns Cook-Off\, an IBCA-sanctioned event on September 12-13th! For official rules\, visit ibcabbq.org. \n \nCook-off Details\nThe entry fee is $200 with  80% Payout\, 50% 1st Place Jackpots\, and 20% donated to the Van Zandt First Responders Fund. Optional add-ons include Steak & Burnt Ends for an additional $30 each (one winner per category). Trophies will be awarded to winners at the conclusion of the BBQ Smoke-off on Saturday\, inside The Barn. See the schedule of turn-in times listed below. \nThe entry fee includes a parking spot with no water/electricity. Full hookup RV sites and cabins are available for an additional fee. Mention the BBQ Competition for discounted rates. Book RV/Lodging by 8/22/25 to receive discount by calling 903-420-1400. Golf carts are welcome.
