Real Wedding at the Silver Spur Resort | Meghan & Scott
“Lover’s don’t meet somewhere along the way. They’re in one another’s souls from the beginning.” -Rumi
Scott and Meghan’s story opens with them as young children. Their paths intertwined as childhood friends, brought together by their mothers’ mutual friendship of nearly 30 years. After years apart, social media brought them back together. Meghan and Scott reunited through Facebook. Scott made the three hours trek from Fort Worth down to Austin to take Megan on a proper date. From the moment she opened her front door, Scott knew that he would never go on a first date again. He had made up his mind and three months later, the beautiful couple was engaged.
Silver Spur Offers that Sought After Rustic Feel
The lovely venue at Silver Spur Resort spoke to this sweet couple. Out of all the options available to them to host their special day, here’s some insight on why these love birds chose us! “Being from a small town, out of state, we knew we needed a venue to accommodate all of our family traveling to be part of our special day”, the couple mentioned. They also expressed their desire to have a location that offered a more intimate and rustic feel, away from the busy city. “The Silver Spur met all of our needs and more”, they recall fondly. “From the moment we drove onto the property and met with Jeff, we knew there was no better place to have our special day.”
We Love it When a Plan Comes Together
The team at the Silver Spur Resort goes the extra mile to make sure we capture the vision of our couple’s weddings. The couple spoke to the dedication of our team and vendors… “All of the vendors that we worked with through the Silver Spur were absolutely amazing. The Confection Connection provided us the most beautiful cakes, Janice from Billy Rose was the most personable when creating our floral vision and bringing it to life and Shannon our DJ kept the party going all night! Every single Silver Spur Staff member, especially Misty and Jeff, went above and beyond to ensure our day was the best day.”
Let it Go!
We asked Meghan for a word of advice to new brides on their big day. “Don’t sweat the small stuff, because it’s all small stuff, and take time to step back and enjoy the day. There will probably be things that do not go as planned, but they will make for great stories later, just enjoy the day with those around you.” As always, our brides give the BEST advice!
