Our General Manager Jeff Durham oversees the day-to-day operations of the Silver Spur Resort. Jeff’s background includes over 25 years in the hotel and hospitality industry. During this time, he worked in a variety of roles, including human resources, accounting, operations and sales. He holds both a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Business Administration. Jeff’s hotel industry experience, food and beverage background, and genial personality make him the ideal leader of the Silver Spur Resort. If you see Jeff walking around the Silver Spur Resort, give him a “howdy!”
Beloved by the Silver Spur Resort’s brides, Misty Roberts leads the Barn event staff and will be the key contact from your first visit at the Barn through the last details after your wedding. Misty brings years of experience to the Barn ranging from personal client services, organizing for church and community groups, and expert wedding coordination skills. Misty has been part of the Barn team since its inception and has extensive knowledge of the Barn and its endless possibilities to assist you in planning the perfect country wedding or event.
Melissa Smith is the KOA Manager here at Silver Spur Resort, but you can call her Missy, (all her closest friends do!) Missy has been a leader here at the Resort for several years, with hands-on experience in all areas of campground operations. When asked what she loves most about her job, she said “I love that every day is different and I meet so many cool people from all over this world!” Missy is super friendly, and has that special way of letting our guests know how important they are when visiting. If there is anything you need during your time here, stop by the General Store and Missy will take care of you!
As a self-proclaimed foodie and craft beer lover, it wasn’t long before Garrett Woodward took his passion for cooking & home brewing to the professional level. After several years as our Brewmaster, Garrett has recently added the title of General Manager to his career at the Q & Brew. His enthusiasm for making the Q & Brew a destination for food and beer in East Texas, coupled with his desire to focus on a quality menu that sets us apart from traditional Texas BBQ, will take your experience to new heights!
