Looking for a unique Western dinner, right here in Canton, Texas? Look no further than our Chuckwagon Dinner Experience! Modeled after the chuckwagon dinners of cattle ranchers after a long hard day’s work, this modern experience gives you and your fellow pioneers a taste of the Old West.
Catered by the Q & Brew restaurant, you will enjoy a BBQ feast served right from our authentic Chuckwagon! The menu can vary, but typically includes:
- Ribs & chicken, smoked low and slow inside our Smokehouse
- Two sides, like our delicious potato salad and cowboy beans
- Rolls
- Seasonal cobbler, cooked fire-side in one of our dutch ovens

Silver Spur Resort hosts its Chuckwagon Experience several months during the year on non-First Monday Trade Days weekends. Depending on the weekend, we will host the dinner on one or two nights. Typically, the event is held outdoors behind the General Store. There is plenty of picnic bench seating, music playing in the background, a fire pit, outdoor games, and lots of room for the kiddos to run around! Private Chuckwagon Dinner
Want a private Chuckwagon experience for your large group? We can help! Experience some hands-on cooking from the ‘ole west with our Chuckwagon team. When the chow bell rings, you and your fellow pioneers will enjoy a dinner reminiscent of one served around a campfire over a century ago. Chuckwagon Dinners are just like the ones hosted by Silver Spur Resort, but organized just for your group!
Why have a regular dinner when you can have a Chuckwagon Dinner! Silver Spur Resort Chuckwagon Dinners are a popular request for family reunions, RV rallies, corporate retreats, birthday parties, and other group events. We can accommodate groups year-round for this special dinner. While outdoor Chuckwagon Dinners provide the most authentic experience, at Silver Spur Resort, you have the option to host your dinner inside a climate-controlled environment. Our team can even help create a package that includes resort activities and on-site lodging. Guest minimums may apply.
