Calling all BBQ enthusiasts! Do you consider yourself the BEST Pitmaster in town? Have SMOKIN’ BBQ skills that can’t be beaten? Or maybe you are just looking for a fun and friendly competition for a GREAT cause! We have the perfect event for you…Register for Silver Spur Resort’s Smoke & Guns Cook-Off, an IBCA-sanctioned event on Dec 6th & 7th! For official rules, visit ibcabbq.org.
The entry fee is $200 with 80% Payout, 50% 1st Place Jackpots, and 20% donated to the Van Zandt First Responders Fund. Optional add-ons include Steak & Burnt Ends for an additional $30 each (one winner per category). Trophies will be awarded to winners at the conclusion of the BBQ Smoke-off on Saturday, inside The Barn. See the schedule of turn-in times listed below.
The entry fee includes a parking spot with no water/electricity. Full hookup RV sites and cabins are available for an additional fee. Mention the BBQ Competition for discounted rates. Book RV/Lodging by 12/1/24 to receive discount by calling 903-420-1400. Golf carts are welcome. Additional fundraising activities will be held during the cook-off.
Turn-in and judging will take place in the climate-controlled Barn.

6:00 pm- Cooks Meeting
7:30 pm- Jackpot Steak Turn-in
Saturday, December 7th:
12:00 pm- Chicken Turn-in
1:30 pm- Pork Spareribs Turn-in
3:00 pm- Brisket Turn-in
3:30 pm- Jackpot Burnt Ends Turn-in
