Calling all BBQ enthusiasts! Do you consider yourself the BEST Pitmaster in town? Have SMOKIN’ BBQ skills that can’t be beaten? Or maybe you are just looking for a fun and friendly competition for a GREAT cause! We have the perfect event for you…Register for Silver Spur Resort’s Smoke & Guns Cook-Off, an Outlaw BBQ Association-sanctioned event on May 5th & 6th! For official rules, visit outlawbbq.org.
The entry fee is $150 and includes THREE CATEGORIES: Brisket, 1/2 Chicken & Pork Spare Ribs with an 80% Payout and 20% donated to the Van Zandt First Responders Fund. Optional add-ons include Burnt Ends, Beans & Bloody Mary for an additional $25 each (one winner per category). Trophies will be awarded to winners at the conclusion of the BBQ Smoke-off on Saturday, inside The Barn. See the schedule of turn-in times listed below.
The entry fee includes a parking spot with no water/electricity. Full hookup RV sites are available for an additional fee. Call 903-420-1400 to inquire about lodging or RV sites. Golf carts are welcome. Additional fundraising activities will be held during the cook-off.
Turn-in and judging will take place in the climate-controlled Barn.
