Silver Spur Resort is known as both a family resort camping destination and a beautiful barn wedding and event venue in Canton, TX. We’ve taken great care to maintain our grounds and create unique backdrops that capture the natural beauty of our resort campground.
Many have asked to use our Resort to take photos, and today, we’d officially like to WELCOME individuals and photographers to make an appointment for their next family portraits, holiday photos, maternity sessions, engagement shoots, prom photos, birthdays, or any other special occasion!

There are many different photo shoot backdrops scattered around the resort. Schedule a time to stop by and explore our grounds to see what works with your photo shoot theme or vision! (Landscaping will vary by the season)
Pricing & Availability
The use of our property for photo shoots is included in our wedding packages, so couples getting married at The Barn at the Silver Spur Resort will have access to our venue for photos with their photographers by appointment.
We do not charge for the use of our venue for the public, but we do ask that you make a donation to the Van Zandt First Responders Fund. This Fund was established by the Silver Spur Resort in 2018 to help meet the unexpected needs of the first responder community in Van Zandt County.
Our mission is to provide assistance to the county’s First Responders when tragedy strikes or extreme family needs arise and to help supplement unfunded equipment purchases to add safety and effectiveness to the operations of agencies within the County.

Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, and photo locations may vary depending on what is going on at the Resort. (Weddings, retreats, reunions, and other special events that use some of our most requested and scenic spaces have priority). Pro Tip: Weekdays tend to be much quieter around here! You may find the park and venue to be less populated, and have better availability to make a reservation during the week (especially when the weather is nice!)
