How We Continue to Serve our Guests During COVID-19
Updated July 10th: Like so many others, the spread of COVID-19 has temporarily changed the way we do business. Some parts of the Silver Spur Resort remain open, with limitations, while others have closed for the time being. With so many recent changes, we wanted to share an update on our business operations as of July 10th. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you during this time and your health and safety, and that of our employees, remain our top priority.
The Q & Brew is Open for Dine-in, Takeout, and Curbside Service

We’ve worked hard to adjust the way we operate in order to continue to serve you for as long as possible. Please be patient with us as we navigate through these changes, while trying to maintain the same high level of quality and service you have come to expect from the Q & Brew.
The Q & Brew remains open for dine-in at 50% capacity, takeout, and curbside pickup. You may notice that we’ve made some changes to our takeout menu and ADDED family meal deals to our menu. It was important to our team that we offer meals that are both delicious and affordable for families. These family meals are so popular, we have now added an option to pre-order on our website. By placing this order in advance, you are helping us better prepare for our product and staffing needs. We appreciate your flexibility during this time!
“What about my favorite Q & Brew beer” you may ask? We have brought you a NEW way to enjoy our beer. Cans are now available in 4-packs, the perfect option when you want to take your favorite Q & Brew beer to go! Stock up and save every Wednesday during our Hump Day Happy Hour from 4 – 6pm. Happy hour pricing includes Buy One Get One 1/2 Off our 4-packs of Q & Brew beer, plus $2 off bottles of Red 55 wines. We have also resumed our “Thirsty Thursday” where Q & Brew beer is only $4 a beer, all day (dine-in only). Growlers are also available to take your beer to go! Your first fill is 1/2 off, and we offer 1/2 off fills every Sunday from 11am – 4pm. Head over to our website to see what’s on tap. If you like what you are drinking, don’t forget to rate us on Untappd. And for our wine lovers out there, we offer a great selection of Red 55 Wines. Just ask our staff what’s in stock when you call, and we’ll be glad to assist you with your selection.
Canton KOA Campground Remains Open
Our RV spots are well spaced and campers have been very respectful of social distancing guidelines. Cabins and tiny homes are open for those who do not have an RV, and front doors and patios are spaced approximately 40’ apart. We have also opened our new Conestoga Wagons which are well spaced and tucked back in the furthest corner of the resort. We encourage those staying here to enjoy the fresh air, walking trails, and fishing in our catch and release ponds, while adhering to all guidelines in place for the health and safety of guests and employees. - Pool passes are given at check-in to give priority to campground guests. Please be respectful of social distancing guidelines.
- Our Escape Room is temporarily closed.
Stock up on Grocery Essentials at our General Store
Our General Store remains open to provide you with your basic grocery essentials while you camp with us. The store is also open to the public, with precautions. Our intent is to help the community find those hard to get items at the grocery store, or provide an alternative to traditional shopping when many are hesitant to shop in crowded stores, but still need grocery essentials. We are able to get many items, such as a wide variety of meat, eggs, flour, sugar, paper towels, etc from our distributor. We are ONLY buying items that people have expressed a need for, and that we can get for a reasonable price. If anyone needs anything, we have a list of items we can get. Please let us know and we will be happy to try to order it for you.
Please follow the guidelines while shopping at our store:
- We are open to shop from 12-6 pm Monday – Saturday.
- We will allow no more than 5 people inside our store at one time.
- Please be respectful of others and maintain a distance of at least 6 feet.
- We will be happy to bring your items out to you curbside! Please call us at 903-420-1400 to arrange pickup.
Purchase Gift Cards for Now or Later
Many have asked about gift cards, for themselves, or for family members who could benefit from our services. Our gift cards work anywhere at the Silver Spur Resort, including inside our General Store, KOA campground, and Q & Brew restaurant.
Gift cards can be ordered by calling us at 903-420-1400 or inside our General Store. We will be happy to bring your gift card out to your car for curbside pickup, or even send a digital gift card for your convenience.
Safety Measures
To protect staff and guests we are taking the following precautions:
- Staffing is limited due to reduced occupancy, especially at the Restaurant
- Hand sanitizer is available at the registration desk for guest and staff use.
- All public area counters, push bars, handles, faucets, and light switches are cleaned frequently.
- Door handles, faucets, and sinks for the bathhouse are wiped down with surface disinfectant 6 times per day.
- All management has first aid and CPR training and we have developed a close relationship with local EMS.

We encourage everyone to follow the CDC guidelines to help stop the spread of germs and adhere to all state and local laws. It is our duty as a community to keep each other safe and ask that anyone on Resort property practice social distancing and good hygiene. We believe if everyone does their part to slow the spread, we will be able to return to a bustling campground ready to serve you again in no time!
